Matthew Plotkin MD has joined the Division of Nephrology as an Assistant Professor. He received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York and completed his internal medicine residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN. He completed a fellowship in Nephrology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
Dr. Plotkin is a Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves, serving in 2011 as a hospitalist for NATO in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He received a Medal of Commendation from the U.S. Navy in 2012. Dr. Plotkin comes to us most recently from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, where he was an assistant professor of medicine.
