Sean Morell, M.D., a native of Russellville, Arkansas, is an orthopaedic hand and upper extremity specialist, who joined UAMS in September 2019. Dr. Morell obtained his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery. He went on to complete his orthopaedic hand and upper extremity fellowship training at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Morell’s clinical interests are in arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, congenital hand abnormalities, cubital tunnel syndrome, fractures, ganglion cysts, hand and upper extremity surgery, nerve Injuries, orthopedic trauma, overuse Injuries, tendon injuries, tumors of the upper extremity, and upper extremity pain problems.
Dr. Morell likes to focus on the specific needs of his patients, as not all hand and upper extremity conditions or injuries are the same. He enjoys informing patients of the options in their treatment and allowing them to reach a decision that fits their needs.
