Dr. Choi is a board certified anesthesiologist who specializes in interventional pain medicine. She completed her residency and interdisciplinary pain fellowship training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. Prior to her residency training, Dr. Choi graduated from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Cornell University for undergraduate education.
Her primary clinical interest is interventional approach to pain including epidural steroid injections, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency nerve ablations and spinal cord stimulators. She is also particularly interested in limiting opioid medication use, and improving function to enhance the quality of life for her patients. Academically, she is actively involved with the American Society of Anesthesiologists and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine as well as American Pain Society. She also enjoys teaching medical students and residents and is an active faculty member in the anesthesiology residency program as well at UAMS.
