Rachel L. Slotcavage, M.D., is an Endocrine Surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Division of General Surgery at UAMS Medical Center.
Dr. Slotcavage received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Remaining at Penn, she went on to complete a postdoctoral research fellowship in Musculoskeletal Oncology. She then continued her surgical training with an internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Dr. Slotcavage found her passion in Endocrine Surgery, and completed her subspecialty fellowship training in this area at the world-famous Cleveland Clinic, under renowned Endocrine Surgeon Dr. Allan Siperstein. Upon completion of her training, she joined the faculty at UAMS.
In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Slotcavage also serves as the Associate Director of the Surgery Clerkship, where she enjoys helping to educate and mentor the next generation of Arkansan physicians.
