Dr. Sherwood graduated from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C., in 2000. He completed his residency at Georgetown University and the Providence Hospital Family Practice Residency Program, Washington, D.C., in 2003 where he served as chief resident.
He worked as a family physician in Hayesville and Murphy, North Carolina for three years then went to work with Mercy Clinic in Shell Knob, Missouri in a federally-designated health professional shortage area. He moved to Fayetteville in 2013 to join the Family Medicine residency as a faculty member. He will continue to see patients as well.
Dr. Sherwood is originally from Connecticut and is married with two children. He enjoys model railroading and watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
