Dr. Kenchaiah received his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, India. He completed his residency training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, with Cornell University Medical College in New York. While in Boston for four years,, Dr. Kenchaiah was a research fellow in cardiovascular epidemiology at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute with Boston University School of Medicine, a clinical fellow in preventive cardiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital with Boston University School of Medicine, a research fellow in cardiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital for Harvard Medical School. He then completed a three-year fellowship in cardiology from the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. During this time, he was also a clinical fellow in advanced cardiac imaging with Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Kenchaiah completed a masters degree in public health from Harvard School of Public Health.
