Dr. Sharp F. Malak is a native of Little Rock. After graduating from Hendrix College, he developed a strong interest in Public Health as he volunteered in a rural hospital in Haiti providing administrative and logistic support for a non-profit organization. He then completed a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University in New York and subsequently served as an Epidemiologist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Turning his attention to clinical medicine, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the UAMS College of Medicine in 2005. He completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at UAMS followed by a Breast Imaging Fellowship from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Malak is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology. He joined the faculty of UAMS in 2011 and has joint appointments in the College of Medicine Department of Radiology and College of Public Health Department of Epidemiology.
