Dora Mah Smith, is a native of Lake Village, Arkansas, and currently an Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She completed her medical degree at UAMS in 2005. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UAMS in 2009.
Dr. Smith was the Administrative Chief Resident in the department. She was also awarded the UAMS Department of OB/GYN ANGELS Service Award two different years. Dr. Smith served as the Medical Student Clerkship Director in OB/GYN from 2010 to 2017 and continues to participate in various educational activities with residents and students. Other honors and awards Dr. Smith has received are the Red Sash Teaching Award, Circle of Excellence Dean’s List, and the Dean’s Outpatient All Stars List.
Her clinical interests are in both obstetrics and gynecology and she enjoys not only caring for her patients but educating patients on health issues. She has made several presentations on various topics relating to her field. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
