Dr. Ong is an assistant professor in the UAMS College of Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines. After completing a postgraduate internship at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital, Ong went on to complete four years of specialized training in neurology at St. Louis University, followed by a two year neuro-oncology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
In addition to serving as an assistant professor, Ong is also the co-director of the Brain Disease Committee at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. She holds a membership in the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
