David L. Rutlen, M.D. is Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He graduated from Dartmouth College and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Rutlen trained in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He directed a cardiovascular physiology laboratory for more than 13 years at Yale University School of Medicine and subsequently served as Director of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia and then at the Medical College of Wisconsin before joining the UAMS faculty in 2008.
Dr. Rutlen is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and the American Heart Association.
